Rescue Camden is a committee formed to help with the 'Major Clean Up' of Fort Camden, Crosshaven, Co. Cork, Ireland. The aim of this group is to get Camden Fort to a position where it's facilities could be used for the betterment of the community and beyond.
We have worked tirelesly throughout the winter on developing the project. We have made incredible progress on a number of fronts. We are currently preparing this season's programme of events and we look forward to opening a Tunnel & walking tour later this year.
Our aim is to clean, restore & develop this magnificent Fortress to its former glory thus creating a tourism and heritage centre which will not only become a huge attraction, locally, nationally and globally but will also create sustainable employment.
Whilst 2010 proved what a fantastic & popular ammenity Fort Camden is it is imperative now that the Fort remains open, to visitors the World over. With this in mind we would ask you for your support. Volunteer's are needed, you can pledge your time or expertise. Donate, materials, equipment or help us fundraise. Together we can and are making a huge difference to "Rescue Camden".
